4. I know what cover they are supposed to be paying homage to, okay, but I had gone DVD shopping Monday and the first image that popped into my head was this one:

8. Not my brilliance. I was complaining to [info]brown_betty how the cover to the new Infinity, Inc. series made me want to run out and buy it (Natasha and John Henry! Flying about gleefully!) but the solicit was kind of incongruous:

INFINITY INC. #1 will take readers on a tortured trip to the dark side of the superhero dream.

She’s the one who pointed out the snarky interpretation.

Your captions are awesome but I've been avoiding solicits this week and the covers--well, most of them. John and Natasha Irons are love, although I miss the *old* Infinitors, damnit--are scary-making.

I like the covers this week. Although mostly because I am having fun playing with them, rather than because they inspire me to buy lots and lots of comics... *shrug* It makes a nice change from the months and months of boring solicits, anyway. :)
