The problem with having all comics icons: when I'm pissed at comics it still feels like they've won.

So the Static Shock ongoing? The one that got "rescheduled" for later this year, and then Dwayne McDuffie died, and then DC decided to do a Static Shock "tribute" to Dwayne McDuffie (in which no proceeds go to his family or any charity) but its all cool because they're just re-purposing a lead-in to a series which was going to happen anyway?

Yeah well. The Static Shock ongoing cancelled altogether, apparently. Before it even had a chance in the market.

It's not, it's not that I'm *surprised*. Just. No matter how low I readjust my expectations, the comics industry manages to fail to meet them in the most offensive way possible.

That's what comic strip icons are for.

::headdesk:: Ah yes, now I remember why I can't be bothered to get off my ass and get to the comic book store...
